Possible errors in the ESP system:- 00778 - steering angle sensor (G85) defective
- 01044 - ESP control unit incorrectly coded / not coded
- 18036 - Data bus drive missing message from sender G85 for steering angle
- ESP lamp lights / ESP does not work
- No basic setting LWS G85 possible
- ESP control unit cannot be coded
- Airbag fault / airbag driver's side N95 - Signal too high
- Error code 00588 - Igniter for airbag driver's side resistance too high

Procedure for the repair service function test on the test bench:1. You buy this service & pay via PayPal or bank transfer
2. You send your ESP steering angle sensor, with a description of the error, to our address,

3. We test your ESP steering angle sensor on the test bench within 1-3 days
4. We then send the tested ESP steering angle sensor
back to you as quickly as possible.
Attention!
After the repair, the ESP sensor G85 is reset via software and in
the basic position is fixed together with the airbag slip ring!The ABS ESP ECU must always be recoded after installation!
For the coding you need the vehicle-specific 5-digit LOGIN and ECU code!
The basic setting for ESP sensor G85 must be carried out!

Steering angle sensor G85 must be installed in the middle position, steering wheel and wheels straight ahead!
Basic setting ESP steering angle sensor G85 with VCDS or VAS diagnosis device:1. Connect the diagnostic device, switch on the ignition
2. Select address word 03 for ABS ESP.
3. Function 02 - read fault memory, then function 05 - delete fault memory
4. Function 08 measured value block and display group 005
Read measured value 01 for (G85), setpoint 0.0 tolerance -2.5 .. + 2.5
5. Enter function 11 LogIn procedure access authorization code "40168"
6. Enter function 04 basic setting and display group 001 and confirm.
7. End function 06 diagnosis
8. Start ESP system test and drive approx. 1-3 km left, right and straight ahead with the vehicle
until all ESP and ABS control lights have gone out.
